メルボルンについてご紹介いたします。
Hi! My name is Natalie and I was brought up in both the UK and Australia!
Although I was born in England I immigrated to Melbourne, Australia when I was 13 years old and have lived in Melbourne for 9 years. Melbourne has often been labelled as(*1) the “World’s Most Liveable City (*2)” as well as being a vibrant cultural hub (*3) bringing many artists, musicians and designers from all over the world.
私はイギリスで生まれましたが、13歳のときにオーストラリアのメルボルンに移住し、9年間メルボルンに住んでいます。メルボルンはしばしば「(*2)世界で最も住みやすい街」と(*1)称され、また世界中から多くのアーティスト、ミュージシャン、デザイナーが集まる活気ある文化の中心地(*3)でもあります。
Melbourne is, no doubt, rich in arts and culture. You cannot walk down a city street without finding some kind of gallery, street art or installation with one example being Hosier Lane. Hosier Lane is one of the famous lane-ways in Melbourne and it’s a place where you can see street art come to life. As many local artists often go there to create graffiti art and murals, it is constantly changing and you can always see something new.
メルボルンは、間違いなく芸術と文化の宝庫です。街の通りを歩けば、ギャラリーやストリート・アートや設備を見かけるだろう。Hosier Laneは、メルボルンで有名な車道のひとつで、ストリート・アートを見ることができる場所です。
多くの地元アーティストがグラフィティアートや壁画を制作するためによく訪れるため、常に変化しており、常に新しいものを見ることができる。

Other than street art, Melbourne also has a number of galleries and museums across the city with one of the most famous being the NGV (National Gallery of Victoria) where you can see anything from historical artifacts and paintings to contemporary art and fashion exhibitions. Another notable museum is ACMI (Australian Centre for the Moving Image) which explores film and art. Both the NGV and ACMI are located in the city centre so I encourage you to visit both if you ever find yourself in Melbourne!
ストリート・アート以外にも、メルボルンには数多くのギャラリーや博物館があり、中でも最も有名なのがNGV（ビクトリア国立美術館）で、歴史的な工芸品や絵画から現代アートやファッションの展示まで、何でも見ることができる。また、ACMI（オーストラリア映像センター）は、映画とアートをテーマにした美術館である。NGVとACMIはどちらも街の中心部にあるので、メルボルンに来たらぜひ両方訪れてみてね！
