Hello, I’m Eamonn, and I originally come from the serene countryside of New Zealand’s South Island. I spent a significant portion of my life in Ireland, where my father is from, and now I call Osaka, Japan, my home. I have developed a deep affection for Osaka – it’s a city that offers delectable local cuisine, boasts a spirited community, and occupies a central location in Japan.

こんにちは、私はイーモンと申します。私は元々、ニュージーランド南島の静かな田舎出身です。アイルランドに長い間住んでいました。父親の出身地であるアイルランドでの生活が長かったのですが、今は日本、大阪を私の新しい家と呼んでいます。私は大阪に深い愛着を持っています。美味しい地元料理が楽しめるこの都市は、元気なコミュニティを誇り、日本全体の中心的な位置にあります。

My love for Japan extends beyond Osaka’s vibrant streets. I’ve had the privilege of exploring this beautiful country, with Okinawa and Hokkaido holding special places in my heart. Okinawa, specifically Ishigaki, has captivated me with its azure waters, perfect for activities like stand-up paddle-boarding and scuba diving. In Hokkaido, there’s a unique delight in seeking out secluded hot springs amidst snowy landscapes – the ultimate in relaxation.

私の日本への愛情は大阪の賑やかな街並みを超えて広がっています。美しい国を探索する特権を持っており、沖縄と北海道が私の心の中で特別な場所を占めています。特に石垣島のような沖縄は、その青い海が魅力で、サップやスキューバダイビングなどのアクティビティに最適です。北海道では、雪景色の中で隠れた温泉を探し出すことが特別な楽しみです。

Japanese cuisine is a continuous source of joy for me. Sushi, kaisendon, ramen, udon, and an array of other dishes keep my taste buds dancing. Convenience stores, a quintessential part of Japan, introduce me to delectable treats like yukimi daifuku, pino, suica bars, and I have a soft spot for premium malt beer.

日本の料理は私にとって絶え間ない喜びの源です。寿司、海鮮丼、ラーメン、うどんなど、多くの料理が私の味蕾を喜ばせています。日本のコンビニエンスストアは、ユキミ大福、ピノ、スイカバーなど、美味しいお菓子を紹介してくれます。また、プレミアムモルトビールが私の好みの一つです。

When I’m not savouring Japanese culinary delights, I’m often immersed in the world of sports. Football (or soccer) and rugby hold a special place in my heart, as I used to play them in my younger days. Weekends are often spent watching sports with friends, cheering on our favourite teams and sipping on cold beers. Another passion of mine is playing pool; it’s become a regular part of my weekly routine, and we’re steadily improving our skills.

日本の料理を楽しむ時間以外に、スポーツの世界に没頭することがよくあります。サッカーとラグビーは私の心の中で特別な場所を占めており、若いころにはプレイしたこともあります。週末は友達と一緒にスポーツ観戦を楽しんでおり、お気に入りのチームを応援しながら冷たいビールを楽しんでいます。また、プールが私の情熱の一つで、週に一度のルーチンとして取り組んでおり、スキルを着実に向上させています。

But what truly brings me fulfilment is engaging with my students. Their unique experiences and life stories fascinate me. I’m committed to creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere while helping them learn English.

しかし、私にとって本当の充実感をもたらすのは、生徒たちと交流することです。彼らの独自の経験と人生のストーリーは私を魅了し、英語を学びながらリラックスした雰囲気で楽しむことに取り組んでいます。
