Nihon no Omoide
I’ve had so many great experiences in my time here! The pandemic got in the way of doing even more, unfortunately. Bur even so, I’ve managed to do so much traveling and see so many different parts of this beautiful country.
One of my favorite destinations has always been Gifu. I had so much fun the first time that I ended up going again and again over the years. Being from a flat, ocean-side place like Florida, the beautiful green forests of the mountains there were fascinating and novel to me! I visited Shirakawa-go, Hirayu, and Gero Onsen during my different trips, but it was Takayama I returned to again and again. I even have a sarubobo keychain on my backpack from my first visit!
