🍁Caileeの秋の思い出②🍁
I went to the Red Spider Lily Festival in the Kinchakuda fields in Hidaka, Saitama. The red spider lilies, or Manjushage, are flowers that bloom between September 16th and October 1st. There are thousands of flowers in the field and people visit to see this very famous autumn event. The field was a red and green, but there were some white and yellow lilies I found. During the day, there were so many people walking around to admire the flowers and take many pictures. It marks the beginning of the autumn season and is considered a rare flower. The festival had so many food vendors and souvenir shops for guests. I bought homemade matcha ice cream and it was so delicious. There was also a stage show of a traditional Japanese monkey performance. The trainer had the monkey perform jumping, climbing, and dancing tricks. The festival reminded me of the autumn festivals back in America, where there would be autumn flowers, food and drinks, and many fun performances for people to see. I took so many pictures of the red spider lilies! I can’t wait to see them again next year.
