今回は、英語のスラング講座です！
前回のブログにて、先生たちの出身国で使われているスラングをいくつか紹介致しました！それらがどんな意味でどんな場面で使われるのか紹介していきたいと思います！まずはBen先生！💂🏻🇬🇧
Cuppa✍
A Cuppa means ” a cup of tea ” and is used a lot in East London. It is very common in English to shorten sentences down into a single phrase. In a sentence we would say [want a cuppa?]
a cup of tea の省略バージョン！「お茶飲む？」とフランクに使えるフレーズです！
Fam✍
Fam is the London version of something like “dude” or ” bro ” in American conversations. We usually use it to talk about our friends or address people in a native way. [I’ll come to your yard fam.] = [I’ll come to your house.]
親しい相手に愛称のような使い方ができるフレーズです！
Innit✍
Innit simply means “isn’t it?” and we usually put it on the end of our sentences very often with “fam”. [Today is cold, innit?]
isn’t it? の省略バージョン！「～じゃない？」と強調したり共感を求める言い方になるフレーズです！
