Fall in New York

Fall in my hometown is enjoyed similarly to how it’s enjoyed here in Japan. The temperatures become cooler and more comfortable, special food dishes are served, and people enjoy traveling to see beautiful fall foliage. It’s definitely my favorite season.
Popular food dishes include pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, and pretty much anything made with apples since it’s apple season. That also includes apple related drinks, too. There’s apple cider, which is non-alcoholic in America, and hard apple cider, which contains alcohol. The closest drink in Japan that I’ve had that tastes similar to hard apple cider back home is Kirin’s Apple Cidre.
There are many fall foliage tours that are offered in my hometown this season, and some of those are by train. You can take a scenic railroad trip on a historic train through the Adironadacks. The Adirondack State Park is the largest park in America, and covers one-fifth of New York State. Inside the park are 3,000 lakes, and 46 mountain peaks. If you’re interested in nature and hiking, then it’s a great place to explore. If you haven’t already, then I hope you can all experience fall in New York someday.
