今回はイギリス人講師Anthonyより、イギリス北部の故郷サンダーランドのイベントについて紹介します!!🎀🥰
August is a big month in my hometown Sunderland.
At the end of August we have the Sunderland
Air Show, which is the biggest free air show in Europe. Over the two day event one million people come to watch the planes. On display are over 80 years of aviation, with old warplanes, jet fighters, helicopters and stunt planes. The main event is the Red Arrows, who are a world famous British stunt team, similar to Japan’s Blue Impulse team. They do tricks and leave red, white and blue smoke trails to create a wonderful sight in the sky.
But there are not only planes, there are many other activities. Much like festivals in Japan there are many food stalls where you can buy all kinds of food. If you want to have a new experience there are helicopters you can sit in, naval landing displays on the beach and flight simulators. If you go to the UK, I highly recommend you head up to Sunderland for a fantastic day.
ちなみにここ、埼玉県NOVA入間校の近くでは、7月に「入間基地航空祭🛫」と8月にお隣の狭山市にて「入間川七夕まつり🎋」が開催されます✨✨
