Hello everyone,
Japan has many things that we can all appreciate, like its efficient public transport system or the beautiful seasons and festivals, but one of the things I appreciate the most is the air conditioning.
This might sound strange to many other foreigners, but I’m sure that most South Africans will relate, since heating and cooling isn’t the norm in South Africa. This isn’t to say that it doesn’t get cold in South Africa either. It can drop below zero during especially cold winters and towns like Buffelsfontein has seen temperatures as low as -20ºC (Although, that definitely isn’t common). Of course, it also gets scorching hot during summer, but despite these relatively uncomfortable temperatures, most South Africans just tough it out.
I’m grateful to be in Japan. I hope you stay safe this spring and summer. What are your tips for beating the heat this summer?
