Canadian Culture🇨🇦
Hello! I’m Dmitri from Canada.
In Canada, a very important part of our culture is our love of nature and the great outdoors. Canada has very long winters during which we tend to stay indoors and avoid the cold. It’s nice to stay warm inside but after a while we all get an itch to go out and explore during the warm summer months. Summers are short so we try to make the most of the time we do have.
There is such beautiful nature in Canada and exploring it is a large part of the culture. There are great big mountains, lush forests and beautiful beaches in many parts of the country. Children don’t have school during the summers so adults will often also take vacation time in order to go on family trips around the country. There are many popular activities including camping, hiking, fishing and going swimming in the lake. It is very common to drive a long way in order to reach the many places around the country where you can partake in these activities. Most people in Canada have a story about spending their summers at the lake, or camping out in one of the many national parks. Speaking of parks, despite being such a large country we still ensure that nature is protected via these national and provincial parks.
