アメリカのThanksgiving 　

の過ごし方について教えてくれましよ！

Thanksgiving is usually celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November in America. It’s a holiday that’s similar to Christmas in that it brings families together in celebration. Besides seeing relatives that you might not have seen for a long time, the main focus is put on the dinner itself.
Usually different family members bring homemade side dishes to the host’s home. These sides dishes could include any number of things such as salads, casseroles, pies, etc. Although many different kinds of dishes can be eaten, the dishes that usually make up the Thanksgiving meal are turkey with gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and some kind of pie for dessert. The main pie types Americans enjoy on Thanksgiving are usually apple, pumpkin, blueberry, raspberry, cherry, lemon meringue, etc.
After the meal, many families usually gather around the biggest TV in the house and watch American football. My family isn’t really into sports, so instead of watching TV we usually continue chatting with each other in the living room while eating different kinds of pie. I’ve always felt that Thanksgiving is a little like Japan’s New Year holiday. Families gathering together while eating lots of tasty food.
