What Halloween means to my Family
In America kids traditionally go trick or treating with their parents but I always had to go with friends. Not that my parents didn’t like Halloween but this is because Halloween doubles as my parents anniversary. My dad wanted to get married on Halloween so he would never forget the day. In America its common for the husband to forget the anniversary day so my dad did not want to fall into that stereotype. One fun fact about this decision is since its their anniversary me and my sisters were always obligated to give them some of our candy as an anniversary present. Lucky for me my mom and dad like some of the worst candy so I still kept the good stuff for myself.
