9月に入りすぐに秋到来！🍁気温も下がり過ごしやすい日が続いていますね！
秋といえばイベントも美味しい物も満載の季節🤤✨
本日は日本を知り尽くしているMATT先生から
秋について色々と話してもらいました！
The weather is starting to get cooler so I guess that is the end of summer for another year. That means my favorite season in Japan is starting in Japan, autumn! The first time I came to Japan many years ago was in November and I was impressed by the beauty of Japan, especially Kyoto. Ever since I arrived in Japan I’ve looked forward to planning where to travel to see the beautiful autumn leaves and scenery.
One of the best things about being a teacher is I get lots of recommendations from students about places to visit in Tokyo and Japan, places I had never heard of or never considered going to. A couple of my favourite places to go in Autumn are Gotokuji Temple with its hundreds of manekineko and for somewhere a bit further the wonderful Fukuroda Falls in northwestern Ibaraki. Of course Nikko and Kyoto are must see places too.
Autumn also means lots of delicious seasonal food. I’m looking forward to eating some grilled Pacific Saury (sanma), as well as ripe sweet persimmons (kaki) and some chestnut (kuri) flavored sweets and hot drinks. I think oden is a popular autumn food too but to tell the truth it’s not really “my cup of tea.”
