Japanese and British summers differ in some ways.
For instance, in the British summertime the sun won’t go down until around nine o’clock. On the longest day of the year, the sun will rise at around 4:44 AM and set around 9:20 PM. This day is called the summer solstice.
The UK’s famous land mark Stonehenge becomes the site of a festival on the summer solstice. As the sun sets, Partygoers revel among the great stones, enjoying music and food, waiting for the sun to rise between the pillars of rock.
As a person who has attended the Stonehenge summer solstice festival, I can safely say that it is something everyone should experience once in their life. Although staying awake all night to the sound of thumping drum music is rather tiring.
