今週はNickにオーストラリアでの夏の過ごし方を聞いてみました★

I’d like to tell you a bit about how we spend summer in Australia.
Australia is in the southern hemisphere of course, so summer starts in December.
That means Christmas and New Year’s are both in the summertime!
Usually everyone has a long holiday, and schools close for about two months.
We like to go swimming at the beach or the pool, or have water-fights or barbeques in the back yard.
Summer in Australia is very hot, but in Melbourne it isn’t as humid as Japan so it’s much more comfortable.
It’s very important though to use sunscreen, wear a hat, and try to stay in the shade! Heatstroke and sunburn are very common!
