母国オーストラリアの祝日について紹介してくれました✨
The Barossa vintage festival
In April this year in Barossa valley,
the Barossa vintage festival returns once more.
The Barossa vintage festival has been held since 1974
and is a 5 day festival celebrating the food, drink and culture of Australia.
This family friendly celebration has parades, music, food,
drink and classes for all ages.
You will be able to learn all about the history of the area
and even how to cook and make wine like a local.
Located near Adelaide, Barossa valley is well placed in southern Australia
to grow a mixture of crops, animals and more importantly, grapes.
Though often known by adults as a nice way to meet new people and try some new wine (and at a fraction of the price), the festival holds many events for children and even some for the community as a whole.
The scarecrows of the Barossa vintage festival are well known
for their artistic flair and eccentric activities.
Families can get a scarecrow map of the festival, travelling all around the festival grounds to meet each and every one of them and see what they’re getting up to.
This year a record breaking 180 scarecrows have signed up for the festival, making the vote for crown scarecrow an even tighter competition than ever.
This year in particular marks a special time for the festival.
With 2021 still firmly within the corona outbreak,
the festival has had to make some big changes to remain “Covid-19 safe”.
Additional hygiene procedures for staff and visitors alike have been implemented and new rules around visitor movement and interactions have been introduced. Though even at a hefty 1.5m away, a cheers is a still a cheers.
