年末年始まで残り僅かですね!!
今年レッスン受けられるのも、

本日はRishi先生にアメリカでのクリスマス🎄について聞きました！

Hello and Merry Christmas!
Christmas is a time for great holiday cheer, catchy Christmas music, presents, and most importantly family. In US, people usually visit their families for the holiday season. They spend the days leading up to Christmas decorating the house with lights and tinsel, helping young children write letters to Santa, or if they’re particularly unlucky, shoveling snow off the sidewalk.
On Christmas Eve (the night before Christmas), it is common to see a fully decorated Christmas tree, with wrapped gifts, just waiting to be opened the next morning, placed under the tree. After a couple of glasses of eggnog (a sweet thick milky drink, usually flavored with nutmeg), it’s time to go to bed because Santa’s on his way! Don’t forget to put out a plate of cookies and a glass of milk for Santa!
Christmas morning is the highlight of the holiday (maybe even the whole year?). Families open their presents, take home videos to remember the happy day, and play their favorite Christmas music all day. Most families also plan for either a special Christmas lunch or dinner. Unlike Thanksgiving, the meal can vary from family to family, but usually consists of chicken (no, sadly not from KFC), ham, or turkey, and a variety of sides.
Christmas in America is so different from Christmas in Japan! If you get a chance to visit, I definitely recommend looking at Christmas lights. Many people decorate their house with hundreds of Christmas lights.
