Hi!NOVA池袋西口校です😀
本日はイギリス出身の講師Stuartに、わかっているようで意外と間違えやすい人称代名詞の使い方について教えてもらいました!
ME WANT COOKIE
What’s in a case?
In English case refers mostly to pronouns – the sentence above sounds funny to native speakers (perhaps because of the Cookie Monsters delivery) because it confuses the pronouns.
The two types of pronouns are the nominative (I, he, she, they, we and who) and the accusative (me, him, her, us and them).
Lets try some sentences and see if we can correct them. Change the colored words to correct the sentence:
・Me Tarzan, you Jane.
・Me didn’t do it.
・It was we that did it.
・We’ll share it between we.
・That belongs to she.
・It’s either they or us.
・Her belongs to me.
・He doesn’t like I.
・My wife said its she or the dog.
・Won’t you come and join we?
・Us were walking along and saw he sitting over there.
Next time we meet please introduce yourself to me like Tarzan!
Me Stuart, you student.
