北海道に来た理由は…❔

I get asked quite often why I chose to come to Hokkaido.
The short answer is for snow and cooler temperatures, South Africa is far too hot for me.
Even my hometown, which has the ocean on two opposite sides of it, like Hakodate, can get up to 35 degrees Celsius.
But the main reason is to explore Hokkaido and its beautiful natural scenery.
Some of my favorite things I’ve done here have been hiking, snowboarding and enjoying the beautiful mountain views, camping at Lake Kanayama, ice fishing and enjoying the unique landscape at Hell’s Valley in Noboribetsu.
Hokkaido is such an amazing and beautiful prefecture and I’m really happy to be able to call this wonderful place home now.
