Valentine`s Day in England is very different than in Japan.
In England, it is a special day for couples to celebrate their romance – some like to go for expensive dinners at fancy restaurants whereas others like to do something more simple like staying in and exchanging small gifts.
Over time it has become more and more of a commercial event and people now spend huge amounts of money on the day, however some couples feel that every day is a special celebration of their romance so do not do anything on Valentine`s Day.
White Day is not known in England so Valentine`s Day is for both partners in a relationship to show their appreciation and affection for the other.
