今日はMikeに旧正月について教えてもらいました。
In Canada we celebrate the Lunar calendar new year.
Usually only celebrated by the large Chinese and Vietnamese communities in Canada,
this tradition has gained popularity and is now being celebrated by the rest of the country.
Red “Lucky” envelopes of money are given to children by elders, streets are decorated with red ornaments and fire crackers and an annual “Lion dance” is performed throughout the cities by your local Kung-fu schools.
It is truly a fantastic time!
