暑い日が続いていますが、

今週は、Sam先生が山口県の錦帯橋を訪れた日について教えてくれました💌

On the weekend I went to Kintaikyo bridge
after a student recommended I visit.
The weather was really rainy, but that made the hills very
foggy, which made for some cool photos with my film camera.
Using the camera while hodling an umbrella was
kind of hard though!😂

I stopped in a small restaurant to reload my camera
with some film. I got a rice bowl with chicken and egg
(oyakodon), one of the girls working there had really
good English pronouciation!

I also helped a nice couple from Luxemboug get back
to Hiroshima station and gave them some good
recommendations for the rest of their trip in Japan😁

My fun day on Miyajima Island

I visited the famous Miyajima Island recently!
Let me tell you it felt like a dream!!!

As soon as I arrived by the ferry, I was greeted
by the mischievous yet friendly deers.
I enjoyed a peaceful walk around the Island,
then went for a Mini Hike, to Mount Misen.
I loved the beautiful sea views and
tall shaded trees along the trails.

Before catching the ferry back, I couldn’t
help but get myself the miyajima specialty,
the popular souvenir from the Isaland; Momiji Manju!

Hi, I have a question for you…
Do you like Karaoke?
Well, I do – it’s my favorite pass time!
I was very surprised when I came to Japan
and saw so many places to sing Karaoke.
I thought, “wow, Japan is so fun!”
I love Karaoke because I can sing my favorite
music from bands like the Cure,
the Beach Boys, and the Beatles.
My favorite song to sing is “Last Christmas” by Wham!

Karaoke is a fantastic way to kick back and relax
on my days off, and unlimited melon soda from
the drink bar is a huge plus!
My favorite decade of music is the 80’s…what about you?
Let’s talk about music together during
your next lesson in Yokogawa!

自己紹介メッセージが届いています💌

Hello, my name is Michael Humphrey.
I am from Arkansas in the United States of America.
It is a great place to live with lots of forests and animals,
like deer and rabbits.
While living in America, I had a lot of fun
doing things like cycling, rock climbing, and being with
my family but deided I wanted to try something new and
exciting so I moved to Japan.
It’s been a lot of fun but I definetly miss my family.

I picked Japan because I have always been very interested in
Japanese culture. When watching the Impel Down arc in
One Piece I descovered that I like Japanese media culture
much more than I ever liked American media.
These days I am trying to immerse myself in Japanese culture
through Japanese manga, video games, and anime.
I am big fun of playstation, nintendo switch, and PC gaming.

If you want to learn American English and culture, want to
talk about gaming or anime, or just want to share about
your own culture, then I look forward to seeing you in
Yokogawa on Thursdays!

Hello, my name is Sam and I come from Wales, in the UK.
I used to work as a penetration tester (ethical hacker)
before joining Nova, so feel free to ask me
about my time in the tech industry.

In my free time I enjoy taking photos
on my old 1980’s Pentax film camera.
There’s something exciting about shooting
on film that’s hard to explain,
it adds a level of charm you can’t get on a phone.
In fact, all the photos of me attached were taken
on film back in the UK 🙂

I also enjoy PC games, anime, and learning about
Japanese culture, especially 80’s/70’s Japanese
music, my favorite is Anri!

So if you’re interested in learning authentic
British English, talking about computers, cameras,
or typical otaku topics, then please book a lesson
with me at Yokogawa on Thursdays and Saturdays.

今週は、アメリカ出身のClayton先生が愛犬について教えてくれました💗

Hi, my name’s Clayton.
I like to spend a lot of my free time with my dog.
Her name’s Coco, and she’s a light-brown Dachusand.
She enjoys going for long walks and running in the park.
She’s very fast even though her legs are very short!
She also loves to dig!

On most days, she’s very lazy and is usually sunbathing
and taking a nap. She’s very goofy and is always making
silly faces when she plays with her toys.
She loves to follow me around the house and lie on
my lap when I’m watching movies.

Having a dog is lots of fun, and
I recommend for everyone to try it!

Hello there amazing students!
I’m so thrilled you’ve found your way to
this little corner of the internet.

When I’m not taching, I’m probably
doing one of my favorite things – taking pictures.

Whether its cherry blossoms, a peaceful countryside or
an unexpected moments. I love capturing life through my
camera lens.

I’m also into jogging and hiking. This helps me
to clear my mind, get energized and explore new
neighborhoods and trails.

So, stay tuned! I’ll be posting updates, snapshots from
