⚾日本人選手の活躍も⚾
As for Japanese players, this week Mitoma Kaoru, one of Japan’s star players at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, became the only Japanese player to have scored seven goals or more in a Premier League season. There are still ten games remaining! Mitoma-san plays for Brighton and Hove Albion, which is located only thirty minutes by train from where I was born.
⚾怪我をしながらも・・・？⚾
I feel a great sense of pride that a Japanese player is doing so well. At Arsenal we also have a Japanese player; Tomiyasu Takahiro. Unfortunately he is now injured and may miss the rest of the season. However, last year he gave us many great performances and really helped the team achieve its goals. I sincerely hope more Japanese players play in the Premier League and Japan continues to have great success on the international stage. By the way, did you know the UK had a baseball team enter into this years World Baseball Classic? They even won a game… I was shocked to hear this!
