Harry講師のご紹介をいたします🤗
Hello there! It’s really nice to meet you.
My name is Harry Brown and I’m from England in the United Kingdom. Before I came to live in Tokyo I was living in Bristol working as an Engineer in the Nuclear Energy industry. I have also lived in London for a few years working in an office near to Big Ben.
I grew up in a small town called Melton Mowbray, near Leicester in the middle of England. It’s famous for Pork Pies (an unhealthy picnic snack which I love) and stilon cheese (a type of very smelly blue cheese which I don’t like). Back home I played both basketball and ice hockey as part of local teams but my main hobbies during the summer months are usually cycling and hiking. In 2021 I cycled 3500km from the UK to Morocco through Spain & Portugal, and last year I hiked 300km of the Via Dinarica through Bosnia & Herzegovnia – I love to travel and would love to chat with you about it.
I had NEVER visted Japan (or even Asia) before moving to Tokyo, so everything in Japan is brand new and exciting for me. I would love to hear your recomendations for things I can do here. Already I have visited Hakone, Mount Fuji, Nikko national park and Sapporo (for the annual snow festival). I also love to ski/snowboard so I have been to Hakuba and Yuzawa, with plans to hopefully go to Niseko later in the season.
My favourite thing so far about living in Japan is how amazing the food is, the food back home is so bland in comparision. Eating out at restaurants here is also really affordable (unlike at home) which makes it a really fun social activity to do with new friends. Since I love all things outdoors (hiking, skiing etc), I’m really enjoying how quick and easy it is to travel from Tokyo city to the surrounding countryside and mountanin ranges – it means I usually spend my weekends outside the city enjoying the fresh air.
I love meeting new people and chatting with all my students during lessons makes coming to work really enjoyable. I hope to see you in Ikebukuro soon!
