😋Fluffy：ふわふわ Pancakes (hotcakes) should be warm and fluffy! When I think of fluffy, it is usually desserts and freshly baked goods that have this texture.

😋Chewy：もちもち Hi-Chew is a great example of food having chewy texture (it’s in the name). Chewiness is also found in toffee and gummy bears. If your steak is chewy, send it back!

😋Crunchy：ざくざく Crunchy food like rice crackers , baby carrots, popcorn and nuts make a lot of noise when eating, so be aware of your surroundings when enjoying these snacks!

😋Gooey：ねばねば Who likes natto? The famous smell and gooey texture are hallmarks of this polarizing (to foreigners) food. Also found in spreads of peanut butter and chocolate (nutella).

😋Crispy：ぱりぱり・さくさく Potato chips have a classic, crispy texture. Other fried food like chicken from KFC, french fries from McDonald’s and tempura, have it too.

😋Brittle：がりがりThe top surface of a brulee has this texture. Caramel and other hard sugared candy can also be brittle.

😋soupy：スープのような、どろどろした Curry and stew are often prepared with a soupy texture. Though some prefer a more thick type, I met many who’d rather have a soupy curry or stew instead.

😋Dry：ぱさぱさ Some people like dried fruits, like mango, as snacks. Jerky is another dry food that also happens to be chewy.

😋Moist：しっとり Yogurt and smooth puddings come to mind. Some meat, especially rare steaks can have a satisfying moist and tender texture to it. Some like their cookies and muffins with a certain degree of moisture to it

😋Stringy：すじばったNoodles come to mind when I think of stringy,at least in appearance. Fibrous texture can be found in celery, pineapple and the stalks of broccoli and cauiflower .
