Christmas in New Zealand
Christmas in New Zealand occurs during summertime in my hometown the average Christmas temperature is around 20-25 degrees. Since the weather is so nice many people eat christmas lunch outside or even at the beach. Popular Christmas foods include turkey, ham, salad, chicken, and potatoes. Some families even have outdoor barbeques to celebrate Christmas. Some of New Zealands favorite Christmas desserts are pavlova, trifle and fruitcake. During December many towns and cities in New Zealand host a `Santa Parade` featuring many performers, muscians and themed floats which travel through the city center so people can watch and enjoy them. most families decorates their homes with christmas trees, tinsel and lights as well as fake snow since its summer.
