MY TRIP TO EGYPT
A few months before I left for Japan, I took a wonderful trip to Egypt.
For the first couple of nights, I stayed in Giza. Giza is famously known for the Great Pyramids of Giza. I was even lucky enough to have a view of the pyramids from my hotel.
On the first day in Egypt, I took a camel ride around the ancient pyramids and even went inside one of them. The inside of the pyramid was very dark and humid, and I had to climb up a set of steep stairs to the top.
After that, I visited the Sphinx, a famous statue with the head of a man and body of a lion.
I also jumped at the opportunity to see the mask of Tutenkamun, the ancient Egyptian pharaoh who became pharoah at just nine years old.
Once I had visited all the sights in Cairo, the capital of Egypt, I flew down to the town of Aswan and boarded a river boat. I cruised up the Nile River for three magical nights until I reached Luxor, stopping at many historical sights along the way, including the tombs of the ancient pharaohs.
My trip ended with a stunning hot air balloon ride over the Nile River. What an incredible experience !
Egypt is an extremely beautiful country and I hope that you will have an oppertuntiy to visit in the near future.
