すっかり夏も終わり寒くなって参りましたね！
今回は英語講師のJadeに少し遅めの夏休みについて
教えてもらいました🌟
Hello, this is Jade!
Today I’ll be talking a little bit about my summer holiday trip!
At the beginning of August, I went to Miura Peninsula in Kanagawa for 2 days and 1 night.
On the first day, I started the trip by going to Nagai Seaside Park Soleil Hill. Here I went through a sunflower maze, saw capybaras and kangaroos, and relaxed a little in the park. After that, I went further south to the wharf, where I had a delicious raw tuna (maguro) bowl for lunch. Then headed to the final destination for the day, which was Joga-shima Island.
To get to the island I took a ferry, which was very fun and reminded me a bit of Australia. On the island there were many stray cats, they were all cute and some of them were very friendly so I got to pet them! On the island there’s also a place with special spiritual energy called “Umanose Domon”. I made my way there, and by this time the sun was starting to set, so I got to see a beautiful sunset to end the day!
On the second day, my friend and I took things slow because we were quite tired from the day before and the heat. So we had lunch (maguro, again!), then rested in a hot spring, before heading back to Tokyo.
Even though Miura Peninsula is not too far from Tokyo, it was nice to have a little trip to a fishing village, and feel the relaxing power of nature!
