Hello everyone!
I am writing from the new Omiya branch,
at Kadomachi on the east side of Omiya station.
Please come and visit, if you can!
The new branch has an interesting sticker.
Firstly, it depicts the famous “Napolitan” spaghetti, which is loosely based on the Neapolitan dish from Naples. This was very popular with the railway and factory workers in Omiya. It was created using simple
ingredients like onion, peppers, mushrooms, and ham then seasoned with tomato ketchup as it is cheap. Excellent Omiya cuisine!
Secondly, a football is depicted. This represents the J-League football team Omiya Ardija. Recently promoted to J2, the club has just been bought by the Red Bull company. Great things are hoped for the future. Ambition and expectations are very high, and exciting times lie ahead.
We all wish for great success for Omiya: in sport, culture, and in learning.
