今回は、大宮校のお話大好きニューヨーク出身のChristian
が
好きな映画や、英語で映画を見ることで期待できる勉強効果などを
教えてくれました
Movies are great way to study English and improve your listening skills as well as your reading ability. Watching movies with English subtitles can be a daunting and slow but highy rewarding practice. Some of my all time favorites include the
Big Lebowski, which is about a LA slacker who gets engulfed in a ranson scheme.
Barry Lyndon, a picturesque film set in the 18th centry about a travelling roguish adventurer, Lawrence of Arabia, about a British officer in World War one who finds himself at the head of a local revolt. I also love tha famous Lord of the Rings series. Recently, I watched the Holdovers, a film about three mismached people who get stuck spending a Christmas together at a New England boarding school. I also enjoy foreign films such as the works of the German filmmaker werner Herzon(my favorite of this being Aguirre, the Wrath of Gods), and Akira Kurosawa.
