What’s your name?
Hello, my name is Zack Hunt. Pleasure to make your acquaintance.

Where are you from?
I’m from Kentucky in America.

What job did you have before NOVA?
Before working at NOVA I studied Japanese for about a year in Kyoto.
Before that I worked as a human resourse manager and a welder at Toyota.

Why did you come to Japan?
I first visited Japan in 2021 following the tsunami as a volunteer to help.
After that I fell in love with the country and people and it became my dream to live here.

What’s your hobby?
I enjoy competing in a variety of different things. In high school and college I ran track and field and did high jump as well as playing basketball and American football. I also enjoying playing in video game tournaments and have played in Magic the gathering tournaments also.

What’s your favorite Japanese food?
This is a tough question because I enjoy basically all Japanese foods.
If I had to choose, though, I would say 10-wari soba with soba-yu in the winter is the best. Otherwise, sushi and more specifically salmon sushi is my favorite.
