南アフリカ出身のLucyに突撃インタビューをしてみました
Hello! Thanks for letting me interview you! First, please tell us a little about yourself.
My name is Lucy-Ann Otto. I am from South Africa. I have a degree in Social Work and am currently busy with my masters degree.
I am eccentric and passionate. I want to be a bright light wherever I go, and I will continue to do that here at Nova.
What has been your favourite experience in Japan so far?
Where to start. Even though I’m fresh off the boat I’ve had great experiences thus far. Met many wonderful people and ate many great foods. I’ve had a proper Japanese Christmas with fried chicken and Christmas cake, and watched the sun rise on New Years before going to a shrine.
So far I’ve felt nothing but welcome in Japan. I look forward to the rest.
What have been your biggest culture shocks after coming to Japan?
In all honesty I haven’t experienced much culture shock. I came here with an open mind and a love for diversity. Maybe I won’t eat a centipede but all the rest I’m up for.
What is the thing you like most about Japan?
Besides the food, the people and the views, I have to be honest here… the warm toilet seat.
What do you want to do while you’re here in Japan?
I mean, what don’t I want to do. Travel to as many places in Japan as I can.
Eat as much Japanese food as possible.
Meet new people with different perspectives. Live my best life.
What are some recommended tourist spots in South Africa?
My ultimate favorite place in South Africa is the Kruger National Park.
It’s a safari park where all sorts of animals roam free and you can see them in their natural habitat. For me, it’s a great reminder to stay wild.
I’d like to visit the South Africa one day!
Thank you for the interview.
See you later!
