本日は、オーストラリア出身のMatt先生から、夏の過ごし方についてお話聞いてきました☀️
オーストラリアでどのような夏を過ごしたのか・・・ 日本での夏はどうしているのか・・・
それでは、Matt先生からのお話です！
Hi everyone, it’s summertime again! Do you have any plans this summer?
Summertime in Australia usually means scorching hot days at the beach,
barbecues and if you live in the countryside, bushfires! I have fond menories
of spending summer holidays at a fishing village though where we would go swimming, go out on a boat fishing and spend hours exploring the sand dunes.
Living in Tokyo I’ve had a bit of a different experience.
I love the summer festivals and the fireworks displays, the lush greenery and even the rainy Tokyo streets during the rainy season. It’s great seeing youmg Japanese wearing yukata and keeping Japanese culture alive.
Those sort of customs and traditions make summer really enjoyable even though it’s so hot!
This summer I’m thinking about going to the Mitama Matsuri at Yasukuni Shrine again, a wonderful festival where 30,000 lamterns are strung up around the shrine groumds making it look imcredible at night.
If you have the chance and have not been before I thoroughly recommend it.
