皆さんはどう過ごされますか
今回はフィリピン出身のCarla（カーラ）よりフィリピンのクリスマスについてご紹介します

Hi everyone!

Do you realize that there are only four months left before the year 2022 ends? There are few more days before September starts which remind me about the Christmas season. FUN FACT: The Philippines celebrates the longest Christmas in the world. As early as September 1st, you can already hear Christmas carols all over the country! Yes, even before the Halloween. People are starting to decorate their houses with garlands, lights, and different colors of Christmas balls depending on their theme for the year. Since you have a 4-month window to experience the holiday, you can give or receive gifts until the first week of January the next year, sometimes even later.

What I like the most about the Christmas in the Philippines is that there are a lot of vendors in the street selling lanterns or what we call “Parol.” Imagine going home tired from work or school then you’ll see the streets lit up with Christmas lanterns. What a beautiful sight to see.
