Hello, everyone!! NOVA千里中央校です(^^)/💛
My name is Wesley, I’m one of the teachers at Senri Chuo school.
I also teach lessons at Toyonaka.
I was born and raised in the UK.
Although I’m originally from a small town in the Yorkshire region,
I spent the last ten years in Manchester, working in fashion e-commerce, a booming industry in the city.
I think there are a few interesting similarities between Manchester and Osaka. With a long history of textile manufacture and its status as a city of industry, this is a trait Manchester shares with Osaka.
In fact, Osaka was once referred to as the “Manchester of the East”.
In terms of cultural importance, both are also seen as the second city in their respective countries, too.
Of course, there are many differences too, but so far I’m thoroughly enjoying my time living here.
There are many reasons why we might want to learn a new language.
It presents us with the ability to communicate with more people and it can also be very enriching. Additionally, it`s a way to learn about other cultures and how people think.
I encourage you to approach your lessons with confidence and an open mind, feel free to ask me anything…not only about language and grammar but culture too.
Let`s get to know each other and learn together!
